Nice. So my Corsairs can operate in the Anargo sector. Here is a picture of a Nightshade:

Of course yours will look better. In time I must redo mine.
I am currently doing the incomplete Flame of Asuryan model. (GW did send me a complete new one, back in '06). It missed an essential keel part. I did make an alternative keel and painted it but I was never quite happy with it. But 2 weeks ago I saw this excellent clay my daughter has and just had to try and clay me a keel. Worked perfect. Now I am painting it and my plans for it are on a higher level then usual.

Awesome. I had an idea for doing a conversion based on the Flame of Asuryan as well. One of John Blanches coolest creations, in my opinion, are the old school Craftworld Eldar ships. But maybe that's just me...
Anyway, of course your Corsairs can operate in the Anargo sector. I'll probably go for a darker shade of brown though, like Scorched brown highlighted up to Beastial brown, with a touch of orange and bone to give it a bit of a glow. It'll definitely require some experimentation. Thank the maker for left over mutilated Space Marine models with which to conduct horrible painting experiments.

I think the current Craftworld range is the best looking fleet in the whole game. With the Flame of Asuryan being the coolest model. Though I would love to get my hands on the two old spacefleet models for them.
Here is my Craftworld fleet including the completed Flame of Asuryan and the incomplete now stripped FoA:
The ship I'm now doing is still the Flame of Asuryan from appereance. Better said a Void Dragon as written in the Eldar MMS ruleset. But the paintjob will be very defined.

Thanks.
Just call them aesthatic (sp?) designs and give Eldar a base move of (between) 30-60cm with two turns.

I'm actually a big fan of the solar sails. They've been done worse. This fleet looks awesome, Horizon. Its a pity I don't live near you, I'd love to take them on with my crude ork fleet.

Thanks.
Saddly lack opponents.
Malika lives almost at the other side of the Netherlands. More then 200km away (which funny enough is a short distance for people living in the US from what I sometimes hear.

Are you from Holland too then? 200km huh? The madness! I remember trying to explain to my uncle from Peru how "far" Rotterdam from The Hague is...I mean in Dutch standards its sort of far so he asks me how many hours I would have to travel and I tell him that it's 20 to 30 minutes by train after which he simply laughed at me. But yeah...travelling hours to get from one place to another isn't that common here, or at least something very unwanted, everything is close from each other here anyways so...

Indeed, very nice fleet, Horizon. I also love the solar sails, in terms of appearance. I just wish the Eldar rules / background didn't seem so dependent on them. But that's completely off-topic
Speaking of which, if I come to the Netherlands, I expexct you both to get on the damn train and meet me for a game of BFG. Bloody spoiled Dutch hippies...

Yep, I live in Kerkrade. Down in the south. Guess small country makes us think small in terms of travel.

Thanks CELS. I do think Kage was more hinting at rules then models as well (I hopeā¦). Thing with sails and their movement style it is unique and brings challenge on the tactical department. Rule of Cool as Kage mentioned this.
In the other thread there was a brief discussion about the Eldar MMS ruleset. Do you people in here think that set is better then the official MSM rules. Do you see problems? Do note version 1.9 is in the works with some downtoning.
All right, if you would go to Eindhoven I would come.

Spoiled! All of you! I travel by car an hour and a half every weekend for just 1 game of Warhammer fantasy. I once drove 7 hours from New York to Manchester for 1 game of BFG at the now defunct Dakka Dakka. 30 minutes? That used to be my morning commute. You Belgians should invade France or Luxembourg to increase your territory. You'll learn the value of travel time then, I'm sure.

Kerkrade is in Holland as well...we are NOT Belgian!
(hehehe) One of our very right wing politicians does want the Netherlands and Flanders (the Dutch speaking part of Belgium) to fuse together into one country...but even then we would be tiiiiiny!

What other thread? Can you post a link? I'd very much like to read these experimental rules. As it is, not knowing this alternative rule, I like the Move Shoot Move of the Eldar fleets. I think it makes them very challenging to play and play against. It is balanced by their paper-like armor and tendency to implode when caught flatfooted. Plus I think its a great way to show the Eldar's advanced technology without breaking the rules too much.

MSM is rulebreaker. GRR
It does not show their technology level, it is no fun to play or play against. You will never learn how BFG works. It's a one trick pony. It is very unbalanced as well.
So without further bad karma:
Eldar MMS v1.8
http://www.epic40k.co.uk/rules/gothic/geldarmms01.html
Current development thread:
http://forum.specialist-games.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=14634
Better show of Eldar technology, more in line with the core rules of BFG.
Oh, and becoming quite popular as well.

I disagree. I have played both with and against the Eldar. Certainly a new player is not going to learn the basics of BFG if they start with an Eldar fleet.
all that said, I read the article and I (grudgingly) agree. It makes them more maneuverable but not flighty so they can't be hit with return fire. They are less broken. Although with that article they now have a huge array of special rules.
