The current
Explore site is designed to be a very basic "Web 2.0" site, which means that it is simply HTML and CSS (with a tiny bit of CSS). I've done this deliberately for a number of reasons, including my current skill level, but also because I think that it's a good thing to build up on solid foundations rather than aim too high. (Hmmn, ironic given the project itself? Mayhap!
)
All this means is that we don't have the flashy gimmicks and tools of other websites, but this is something that we can build on. So, back to the purpose of this thread...
If you have any ideas about the
Explore site, which includes (constructive!) criticisms about what is currently up there, but more specifically is about what you would like to see up there, then this is the thread for it.
For example, one thing that I would ultimately like to see is the merging of the "User interfaces" into a single page. Rather than using HTML/CSS, ideally we would use Flash and have pretty transitions, effects, and sounds operating when the user interacts with the page in some way.
With your constructive criticisms and vision,
Anargo can continue to "lead the pack," as it were. And, just so you know, I truly think that we are ahead of the game, both in terms of what we have at the moment and the vision that you - the members - are bringing to the project. I only hope that I can raise to the challenge or, when I cannot because of a lack of experience or ability, that some other member can.
